About Us - Homeland International Homeland International Inc. (HI) established in 1999 is a private, international, non-profit and charitable non-denominational development agency. It seeks sustainable solutions to long-term problems of poverty, with special emphasis on the needs of housing communities in Canada and developing parts of the world and other resource poor areas. Its main areas of focus are housing, health, education, rural development, strengthening civil society and assisting in long-term strategic planning processes for the community development programmes. At HI, our aim is to build a constituency of global citizens committed to voluntarism, international development and social action. We do this by developing partnerships between community-based organizations in Canada and abroad but specifically in developing countries in order to build the capacity of partners to serve their communities and to foster international collaboration. The board members, advisors, mentors and other team members are well-respected and successful corporate leaders, philanthropists, real estate developers, lawyers, investment bankers and entrepreneurs. The board advisors and mentors include Mr. Israil Menai, Mr. James Wm. Clement, Mr. Michael Bust and Mr. Peter Thomas Yee have pledged to provide their time, experience and management resources to expand Homeland activities globally. As team they have also made available collective international knowledge, skills and wisdom of over 200 years for the benefit and successful development of Homeland International Inc into a global charity with focus on developing community housing and mixed development with country base institutions. The team also brings its global philanthropic, charity, social, non profit and business acumenship, understanding, know-how and expertise for the advantage of Homeland expansion and growth. The team members have visited more than 100 countries and have lived and experienced different customs, conditions and culture and will use their established contacts for the benefit of Homeland growth. The team members have been associated and utilized the services of reputed international companies in their respective field such as KPMG, Citicorp, Nomura, Arthur Anderson, IFC, Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, ANZ bank, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, African Banking Corp., Summit Bank, Grubb & Ellis, Prudential, Habib Bank AG Zurich, Wardley Real Estate Investment Bank, Hong Kong Shanghai Bank, Barclays Bank, Catalyst Capital Partners, J. Walter Thompson, Stanton Partners, Professional Modarba, Union Bank of Switzerland and Deutsche Bank. Also such firms as Morgan Greenfield and Peat Marwick including scores of others who have either merged or have been bought out. The Board approved and gave executive powers to the President to implement self-sustaining models to promote and develop community housing and mixed development project activities in various communities, countries and corporations. To develop, create and operate an exemplary original charitable and philanthropic development models to enhance the charitable activities. Homeland has received from various country partners offers to pledge, be-quest, endow and to give control, rights and access to diverse assets and resources to expand its activities under its charitable, social and philanthropic expansion plans:
Homeland participates internationally with public and private sector that wish to venture into philanthropy through adoption of our Philanthropic Program Model, Process and Plan to create self sustaining Community Housing with mixed use projects to serve the local community needs. Homeland adopts charity and social cause models to combine various issues and challenges to find alternatives, possibilities and choices to improve the housing and living conditions. Homeland provides the communities and its members with answers to several agendas including their personal aspirations, community issues, stagnation and expansion challenges, stakeholders' succession, global growth plan in order to solve these uncertain social and economic conditions within the charity and philanthropic giving. Homeland will develop alliances with attorneys, accountants, consultants, investment bankers, business planners, stockbrokers, strategists, economists, sociologists, philanthropists, entrepreneurs and individuals from all walks of life to partner with on new projects.
