We specialize in non-profit and co-operative property development and property management services offered to our partners within non-profit housing sector.

We provide for a full range of property management services with a solid and consistent performance. Our services include but are not limited to:

• Ensuring the efficient and profitable operation of properties, including achieving targets in occupancy.       

• Providing professional advice to voluntary Board members on a wide variety of issues including development of model by-laws, policies and procedures and serving as their source of reference on many issues related to non-profit housing administration.

• Conducting tenant relations to ensure maximum satisfaction.

• Hiring, developing and motivating building management teams.     

• Formulating and executing plans that address occupancy agreements of out clients.

• Overseeing and monitoring annual building budgets including: maintenance and repairs, collection of rental payments, purchase order system and retaining outside contractors as required.

• Administering processes relating to tenancy procedures and building logs.                                                                                              

• Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety policy.                            

• Conducting annual tenant events.                                

• Ensuring prompt compliance with the authorities having jurisdiction. 

• Offering unique and proactive management style, which includes open and consistent communication with our partners in non-profit housing.

We recognize that ageing population means an ever-increasing demand, which is why we are allocating our talents and resources to create more options for the aged.  The Home & Community Care Service Plan details HI’s commitment to increasing the range of services, programs and housing available for seniors and to provide more options that offer choice, independence and dignity.

The seniors and adults with disabilities shall continue to receive the increased attention from HI. In consultation with senior housing providers HI is involved in an extensive planning to ensure their specific needs continue to be met.
